Rebekah and Nathan have known each other for about 8 million years. And their dog is famous.
These two got hitched in a lawyer's office in Old Town. It was short and sweet.
Then we hit the town, portrait-style.
A little bit of this...
...but mostly this.
The closest thing to "industrial" and "graffiti-covered" Old Town can muster for some weirdness. It's a pretty place filled with beautiful old bricks and cobblestones - can't complain!
Congratulations you guys!
Mengci and Fan took me to a new courthouse : Fairfax. They're very serious about the no-camera policy (except the ones on our phones - those are cool) but they more than make up for it with their choice of outdoor location - you can get married right in their beautiful, flower-filled courtyard! So that's what Mengci and Fan did, obviously, spurning the ever-ready conference-room action. An enormous troupe of friends joined them for their nuptials, in-between classes.
Right next door to the modern thing is the historic courthouse with all manner of lovely arches to play with.
And we hopped over to a lovely little park nearby for some woodsy action. Out there in the boonies, you can do that - the woods are literally all around.
I got like 10 mosquito bites in the course of six minutes.
But it was worth it. Congratulations you guys!
Hair & Makeup: Face & Crown
Holly and Gene were married right in the heart of downtown DC at the Mt. Vernon Place United Methodist Church last week, surrounded by their very nearest and dearest. These cool cats have been all over the world together but brought it on home to DC for an intimate, personal wedding with three very lovely young ladies as attendants. Holly and Gene:
I was super-digging Holly's subtle floral crown.
The church is right on Mt. Vernon square, so we took a quick jaunt across the street for photos with DC's beautiful public library.
Congratulations, you guys!
