Meghan & Steve | Green Spring Valley Hunt Club wedding

Meghan and Steve did it big - big tent, big band, big hearts. It was such a pleasure to document their wedding filled with so much joy and laughter. A wedding photographer learns a lot about her clients by the speeches given at the wedding and I learned that Meghan and Steve have been all over this planet. I'm glad they chose to rock out their wedding Baltimore-style, rolling in friends and family from everywhere. It was a rockin' party. wedding photojournalist amber wilkie We started the day at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront. bride getting ready for her wedding artistic getting-ready imagery from a wedding Meghan's niece and nephew were afoot, being adorable and very photogenic. little girl at a wedding artistic photojournalism before the wedding little boy paralleled with a woman at a wedding grandmother with her great-grandkids bride getting her makeup done bride helping her sister get dressed before the wedding bride and groom portraits Loyola Blakefield chapel is very special to Steve and Meghan. bride walking down the aisle at Loyola Blakefield church Loyola Blakefield church wedding bride and groom during the catholic wedding ceremony artistic wedding photos with Loyola Blakefield church band father giving a talk at Loyola Blakefield church wedding groom laughing during Loyola Blakefield church wedding holding hands during the catholic wedding ceremony bride fighting back tears at Loyola Blakefield church wedding putting on the rings during catholic wedding ceremony at Loyola Blakefield church wedding ceremony detail sign of peace during catholic wedding ceremony Catholic ceremonies, what can you do? little girl sleeping during wedding ceremony final prayer during Loyola Blakefield church wedding ceremony first kiss during catholic wedding ceremony recessional from Loyola Blakefield church wedding We hopped in some cars and limos and shuttles and booked it to the beautiful Green Spring Valley Hunt Club, decked out special for the wedding. bride and groom portraits at green spring valley hunt club hiding her wine glass behind her back green spring valley hunt club wedding decor epic first dance wedding photos brother of the groom during a speech bride and groom laughing during wedding speeches brothers toasting at green spring valley hunt club wedding I whittled down to these four pictures of the parent dances, so be proud. father-daughter dance at green spring valley hunt club wedding It was hard, because there was so much great stuff, like this. bride dancing with her awesome father groom and his mother dancing during green spring valley hunt club wedding reception mother son dance at green spring valley hunt club wedding bride and groom dancing at green spring valley hunt club wedding reception relative dancing at green spring valley hunt club wedding I'm not sure it gets much better than Grandma getting down at the wedding. wedding at green spring valley hunt club with grandma friends having a great time at green spring valley hunt club wedding slow dancing at green spring valley hunt club wedding reception dance party at green spring valley hunt club wedding wedding dancing at green spring valley hunt club little girl and father of the bride at green spring valley hunt club wedding guests dancing at green spring valley hunt club wedding groom rocking out at green spring valley hunt club wedding Escapade kept the dance floor hopping, and didn't mind sharing with some interlopers. little girl on stage with escapade at a wedding cutting the cake at green spring valley hunt club wedding taking the cake to be cut at green spring valley hunt club wedding everybody dancing at green spring valley hunt club wedding funny moment from a green spring valley hunt club wedding view from the band at green spring valley hunt club wedding Proud Mary. Bobbie & Tim | Photobooth!

Bobbie and Tim were the first couple to opt for my newly-introduced photobooth and there's no denying it was an enormous hit at their wedding. They and their guests took 955 images, all told. Here are a few of my favorites: wedding photobooth images photobooth at a wedding images from a wedding photobooth photobooth image from a wedding wedding party photobooth And, what fun is providing a photobooth if you can't get on it with one of your favorite planners ever? And for all my wedding clients! If you want photobooth pictures of your very own, just drop me a line and we'll hook it up. I provide everything, including the backdrop (the one you see here) and props, but you're more than welcome to supply your own or do a DIY backdrop (and I have some ideas!) I'm still rocking the introductory pricing of $400, including upload to Facebook within a week of the wedding, for a limited time etc. etc.

Liz & Ashwin | National Museum for Women in the Arts wedding | Washington, DC

Liz and Ashwin, with the help of their brilliant planners A. Dominick Events, threw the prettiest, most atmospheric wedding I have had the opportunity to document. They and their families infused the day with warmth and laughter, while honoring both Hindu and Jewish traditions. The National Museum for Women in the Arts provided a truly spectacular setting for quite a day. wedding photojournalist amber wilkie They got started at their impressive suite at the Sofitel. hindu preparation at the sofitel in washington dc auntie with the sari for the bride mother in law and bangles at hindu wedding ceremony bride gets ready at the sofitel in washington dc I love how putting on a wedding sari and accessories is a big family affair. bride puts on bangles for hindu wedding bride's auntie helps her get ready bride gets ready with stepmother mother in law helps bride get ready for hindu wedding little girl watches bride put on her makeup auntie and bride holding hands They we scooted to the National Museum for Women in the Arts for family pictures and some quick bride and groom photos. wedding portraits at national museum for women in the arts With some awesome art. NMWA keeps their weird art in one tiny room, apparently, but fortunately for me, it was also the only spot with a window. Also fortunately for me, Liz and Ashwin were keen to have their photos taken in front of this sweet/weird thing. weird portraits at national museum for women in the arts Portrait work done, it was go-time! photojournalism at hindu wedding in washington dc bride and her father share a moment before the wedding ceremony groom waiting for his bride at hindu wedding Told you it was atmospheric.
