Paige and J.J. were married last week at one of the most beautiful places in D.C. With a view of the Capitol during their ceremony and the Library of Congress as backdrop for a few portraits, they tied the knot intimate-style.
Check out Paige's banging southern-style hat!
Congratulations you guys!
Christy and Greg were married at Sunset Crest Manor on a patio overlooking a gorgeous valley, surrounded by their dearest friends and family. But what you really need to know is that they can do the entire last number from Dirty Dancing. They can and did. Best last dance number ever.
Sunset Crest is an absolutely gorgeous venue and, true to name, they do have a crest from which one can view the sunset.
Christy had a number of little girls underfoot to instill with dreams of their own weddings some day.
First look by the columns.
Christy's dad watching on during the first look.
You have to love those big old columns.
And late-blooming trees.
It was warm, but extremely mild for August - beautiful weather for a wedding and the outdoor cocktail hour that followed.
I love this frame Jon, my second shooter, took.
The reception building at Sunset Crest is really quite lovely.
They had rival college team cakes.
This kid is a ridiculously talented and enthusiastic dancer.
This is when the Dirty Dancing kicked in.
Congratulations you guys!

Heather and Buddy were married at one of my favorite venues in the area, the Patapsco Female Institute. It's a formerly abandoned, now restored, girls' preparatory school that is now used for Shakespeare in the Park and a handful of weddings each year. Heather and Buddy filled the place with friendly faces, lots of laughter and some seriously good dancers. PFI is a wide-angle-shooter's dream.
We started the day at the massive Robert Andrew Salon & Spa so Heather and Melissa could get all prettied up.
Meanwhile, Buddy was hanging with his brothers back at the Doubletree Columbia. Not one, not three, but two trees.
First look, which I was delighted to find could have a woodsy look even right outside the hotel.
Then we scooted out to the Patapsco Female Institute for family and wedding portraits.
I really love this venue.
Go time.
Heather and Buddy tied the knot on the steps of PFI, with the big columns overseeing their vows.
These two are pretty seriously good at dipping.
Toast appreciation - short and sweet.
It is really hard to resist the wide angle opportunities.
Something tells me some of those other single ladies are going to get hitched before this one.
Congratulations you guys!
