Laura & Jeff | DC courthouse wedding

Laura and Jeff tied the knot last week at the DC courthouse. When you've been together a billion years, sometimes a giant party doesn't make any sense. But the courthouse - that shiz is legal. Marriage certificate in hand, we wandered on down to the Mall for some portraits in the National Gallery. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.combest-washington-dc-courthouse-wedding-photographers-7 Some people are foreheads-together people. These two are and they're really cute about it. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com The National Gallery of Art is under all kinds of construction up top and for some reason they removed a bunch of art from the inside, too, and closed off some of the galleries. But now they're putting back some pieces, like these circles. I'm there a lot, so I've noticed the changes over time. I hope they put all the art back soon. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com In the meantime, we play with what's left. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com A newish take on an old favorite. Either improper flash placement or the burning, unstoppable love between Laura and Jeff - you can take your pick. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Congratulations, guys!

Jodie & Ryan | courthouse wedding photography | Washington, DC

Jodie and Ryan were down for whatever, so we made lots of weird photos. I enjoy that in people who have hired me to photograph their wedding. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com They got hitched at the DC courthouse, then we rolled down to the National Mall for gallivanting, standing in front of art and lots and lots of congratulations from the crowds. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Jodie has the best laugh. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com More fun weird stuff. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com And also really pretty stuff. We took advantage. dc-courthouse-wedding-photographer-15 Congratulations guys!

Joyzeline & Ed | Carlyle House gardens | Old Town Alexandria intimate wedding | Virginia

Joyzeline and Ed were married under threat of rain storms, but no rain storms appeared. Instead, they had lots of smiling faces, some serious blossom action in Old Town Alexandria and quirky street scenes. Their family and friends gathered at the Carlyle House gardens to watch these two tie the knot.
