I've been photographing Nancy and Ilan for years now - from wedding to baby bump to squiggly infant. Well, folks, they did it again this year and they've got another rocking mix of genes on the way. Baby L is no itty bitty squishy thing anymore, as happens with babies after ten months. She's on the move and living large and about to get a big shock of baby sibling in a couple months! Nancy, Ilan, and the fam:
Look at those curls!
They bought a big old house since the last time I saw them.
One of my favorite images from the session - totally unstaged and just real life, hanging-out, kinda-weird.
Baby L had exactly one hour of photography session in her.
Then she promptly went to sleep and we could do some lovey maternity portraits.
Model Nancy.
Regular Nancy.
Congratulations *again*, guys! Fingers crossed I get to meet the newest member of the clan.
It's all coming up babies, y'all. Nancy and Ilan, following a killer wedding, decided to get down on child-raising and had me over to document a piece of this time. They've lived in Mount Pleasant since even before they knew each other, so it was the perfect spot to do some maternity photos and show Baby Nancy&Ilan what their mom and dad's 'hood was like growing up.
I have something of a history photographing Nancy and Ilan in alleyways. Or they have something of a history of doing important life milestones near alleyways.
We stopped by the world's most adorable market. For the record, they actually shop there.
They still make lots of funny faces and mostly just giggle when I give them "romantic" cues.
Congratulations, you guys!
Sarah and Rob are having a baby and that's rad. They live two steps from all these places we shot at in Crystal City - the kind of session I love doing - just wandering around their neighborhood. It's especially nice to do for a maternity session, so baby-on-the-way can see where Mom and Dad hung out before they came along. Also, Crystal City is mad beautiful, if you take the time to look at it.
Their pup Maggie is going to have to give up some attention soon enough.
I kind of love the dog creeping on them.
Congratulations, you guys!
