Luisa & Mike: Engaged! | Arlington County Fair

Luisa and Mike, as stated previously, are incredibly awesome.  And awesome people deserve awesome photo shoots, so we hit up the Arlington County Fair!  In my head, this fair was quite a bit more uh... robust than it turned out to be, but I think we rocked it anyway.  Luisa and Mike, you guys rule! engaged couple at the arlington county fair engagement photos with checkerboard flag I hope you can't tell that these were taken at the "piglet racing" area. happy laughing engaged couple black and white engagement photos beautiful woman engaged very serious black and white engagement session How incredibly perfect is this heart-shaped ride?  Obviously we had to do photos on it. arlington county fair engagement session This is my first frame after they started moving.  I tried to get others but this was hands-down the best panning I did.  Go Mike go! heart ride panning Frequent visitors to this blog will note that I never, ever use "vintage" photoshop actions.  Mostly, I think it's weird.  However, with the setting and the light and me wanting to be adventurous in multiple dimensions, I've played with the colors and things on some of these.  I think it works here and I'm pretty pleased with how the vintagey frames came out. vintage heart engagement photo ice cream vintage engagement session cotton candy vintage engagement session Yowza.  Did I mention Luisa is ridiculously beautiful?  You probably already gathered that, but still, it bears repeating. arlington county fair couple engagement photos black and white portraits from the arlington county fair vintage arlington fair engagement session fishing game at arlington county fair fair bottle engagement session photo long exposure ferris wheel engagement session engagement session with long exposure ferris wheel Thanks again for experimenting with me, guys!  Best of luck with all the wedding planning!

Theresa & Joe: Engaged! | Brookside Gardens

I've been doing a lot of driving up to Brookside Gardens recently!  But it's no wonder, since it's such a beautiful, serene place.  So when Joe called me up to do a last-minute engagement session, it was the first place to pop into my head and was completely fitting for this fun, easy-going couple.  They're getting married next weekend and so are busy, busy with planning.  Congratulations you two and have fun on your big day! engagement photographer Amber Wilkie It was miserably, oppressively hot the day we did this shoot (yeah, remember last week and the devil weather?) but Theresa let down her hair for the "bridge shot" - she said she was hoping we would get a bridge shot.  I love making my clients happy! engaged couple kissing on a bridge Oh, the light. engaged couple at brookside gardens portraits of a man and woman in black and white Yowza, girl. portraits at brookside gardens couple at brookside gardens The image on the left is my favorite from the set.  They both look so happy. engaged couple in a tree at brookside gardens coupe in japanese pagoda engaged couple at a japanese pagoda in brookside gardens engaged couple portraits couple having fun in wheaton, md cute couple at brookside gardens Aaaaand the bling. engagement ring on a red flower Congratulations again, you guys!  Best of luck in everything!
