Two previews | DC engagement photographer

I had the great pleasure of working with two exceptional couples today, both of whom really turned it out for their sessions.  I've got a little preview up for both of them, but you can look too.  First up, Karen and David, who gave me the Meridian Hill Park tour and showed me its many delights.  I am so looking forward to their upcoming winter wedding. engagement photography at meridian hill park And I've also got a preview for Monica and Adam, who braved the ridiculously-frigid-for-October wind coming off the Potomac to take a spin around Roosevelt Island with me at the necessary but slightly painful hour of 8 a.m.  We had absolutely stunning light for almost the entire session and it was cool getting to see a new place so close to home. engagement photographer at roosevelt island More to come from these rad couples.

Tiffany & Tony: Engaged! | Great Falls, VA

Tiffany and Tony are completely rad people.  The only thing you need to know is that they are getting married in New Orleans, even though they live here in DC.  If you know me, you know I love NOLA and left a piece of my heart there and whatnot.  One doesn't get to spend five years in that city without getting hooked. Engagement sessions: what to wear

When thinking about what to wear to your engagement or portrait session, there are very few rules and lots of good ideas. Rules:
  1. Wear something you feel comfortable in.  If it's too tight, too bright, scratchy, see-though, too short, you are going to fidget through the whole session and never really get into it.  Wear something that makes you feel like you.
