Hi everyone! As most everyone visiting this website knows, I'm moving to Sweden. We leave in one month!! That means I need to get rid of everything I own. Most of my stuff is worthless, but I do have some camera gear and associated bits that I'm hoping to offload. I'll update this page as I sell things. Pickup for everything is in Shirlington (Arlington). If you're interested, drop me a line to amber@amberwilkie.com.
Photobooth! (Almost everything you need to start marketing these to clients) $300. More info here. I'm willing to break this up at this point - if you're interested in just the photobooth countdown-shutter contraption, or just backdrops, etc. - let me know.
Blu-Ray Burner. $40
Bought this guy in 2012 for long-term backups of RAW files. Never had a problem with it. It's this one.
Westcott X-Drop in Blue / Slate pattern. $50. Just like this one but in the pattern shown below (no I never got around to ironing it). I have all the stuff that came in it, nothing wrong with it - but it is a little small for photobooths. Great for headshots or whatever.
Impact QuikBox folding softbox. $75. This one. Absolutely nothing wrong with this. Truth be told, I never used it on a shoot, though taking it out for the photo - I definitely should have and I am a gear idiot.
Two rolls of 5' White Seamless. $15/each. Mostly unused.
When I write these intros, I always try - in case you haven't noticed - to think of three things to describe the wedding. But I don't feel like Nike and Blake's wedding at the Kittamaqundi Community Church at historic Oliver's Carriage House needs three, just one: JOY. These two and their families threw every last bit of their joy into this wedding - dancing like they'd absolutely lost their minds, shedding a couple tears of happiness and gratitude, doling out hugs by the poundful. It was my great pleasure to be there and be a tiny part of the day.
We started at the Doubletree Columbia, which has some fun art for playing with.
Did you know that wedding certificates include a family planning guide in Columbia? Helpful!
Everybody all gussied up, we headed over to Oliver's Carriage House.
This wedding had no shortage of adorable children.
A few buttons buttoned, then it was go time.
Thanks as always to Julia, who nailed the "bride entrance from behind" shot.

Basically everybody at this wedding was a blubbery mess of happiness.
The crowd went absolutely bananas for Blake's grandparents at the end of the anniversary dance.
The money dance can sometimes be really awkward and timid. This one was a riot of bills flying everywhere and squeals of laughter.
Congratulations Nike and Blake!

Julie and Brandon beat out threats of rain to have an elegant but boisterous wedding at Columbia Country Club. These two held a "small" ceremony with their enormous families, then invited all the folks to come have dinner and dancing and plenty of laughs. Plus, there were more cousins than you can shake a stick at. Julie and Brandon:
This, folks, is the face of a man who wants to be married.
We stole off for a few photos around the grounds, with the repeated admonition not to get in the way of the golfers. Those golfers mean serious business!
The kids' table was deserted by mid-meal. I found them in the cool-people area getting into trouble.
And here's Jim and Amy! Aren't they cute?
I waited by the ice cream sundae station (yeah, you heard right) knowing full well the kids' faces were going to do something like this:
You always see high heels kicked off, but I love the addition of tiny shoes here.
Congratulations, you guys!
